David Osmond gives stunning rendition of “Danny Boy”

I first heard David sing this song live up at a private gathering in Huntsville. It made me cry then, and it still makes me cry now.

This past Memorial Day as we visited the graves of loved ones dead and gone, I couldn’t help but think of this song and how heartbreakingly beautiful it is, and how well it represents the feelings in my heart. Maybe I love it even more after I heart it was President Hinckley’s favorite song before he passed away, too.

My grandfather, father-in-law, and cousin have all served in the Air Force, Army, and Navy. They all came home. But many don’t.

All proceeds from this song, “Danny Boy” go to the “Gold Star Mothers” foundation, a charity set up to provide help to mothers who have lost a son or daughter while in service.

Like this video, share it, and help support mothers everywhere who have given the ultimate sacrifice-their beloved children.
