Utah’s got some serious talent, and that hasn’t been better showcased than on “America’s Got Talent” with the incredible “One Voice Children’s Choir” who just missed the cut into the semi-finals.

One of the last two acts standing, three out of four judges picked solo singer Kelli Glover to move on.

Last week, judge Howie Mandel said they were looking for diamonds, and wasn’t sure the choir sparkled enough. But he changed his tune this week after the choir gave a stunning rendition of “Let it Go” from the movie “Frozen.”

“You made this song sound spectacular,” Mandel gushed. They did. I had chills the entire time, and after hearing it my husband said, “I like that better than the original!”

But Howard Stern who choir member and soloist Lexie called their “savior” last week was not so quick to save them this time.

“The act that I think has the biggest ability to come back here and nail it with this audience and the audience at home is Kelli Glover,” he said.

And I COMPLETELY and WHOLEHEARTEDLY disagree. But, so goes reality TV. My heart is breaking for the kids from SLC, but given their level of talent (and several MILLION hits on YouTube with the amazing Alex Boye singing the same song) my guess is these kids will do just fine. Still a huge bummer, though. They were the better talent, the better pick, and gave the better performance.
